FMC approves launch of new contracts of Shankar Kapas by NCDEX

The Forward Markets Commission (FMC) has approved the launch of new contracts in Shankar Kapas (Cotton) by National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX).

The approval has been given in respect of  Shankar Kapas contracts expiring in  31st October 2013, 31St, December 2013, 28thFebruary 2014 and 30th April 2014 as per a notification issued by FMC.

At present, only one contract in Shankar Kapas is active and is set to expire on 28th February 2013.

About Shankar KapasShankar Kapas is raw cotton variety with  Staple Length Basis : 28-28.5 m and prices quoted are per 20 kg with tick size of 50 paise.
